We've reserved a block of rooms at the Griswold, which is approximately 20 minutes from the Reception site, but is also the location for the Rehearsal Dinner - nice and close! Rooms there run from $110 to $160 per night. Space is limited, so call early! Rooms reverted to the general public on 15 April 99. When we stopped by on the 16th, they had about six rooms left.

The Griswold Inn is America's oldest continually operating inn (since 1776). Some guest room floors have a "port or starboard list," a few are quite small. Riverboat decor, furnished with antiques. 27 rooms w/private baths. No TV, but classical music is piped in (with volume control, we checked). Restaurant, lounge, entertainment.

We talked to The New London Radisson Hotel, which is two blocks from the New London - Orient Point Ferry Terminal. There have been a few reports of the Radisson being completely sold out. If this affected you, please try again now, as the other blocks of rooms should have opened up. The manager, Ty Coleman said they could not book another block of rooms for us, but if our guests called 800-333-3333 and asked for the Super Saver Discount, they would be able to book one of the remaining rooms for $99 per night (normally $129). You need to ask for the Super Saver to get the discount, and it may not be available closer to the date. Some people actually got a $69 price quote! The Radisson's main desk number is 860-443-7000. As of 23 February 98, we had 25 rooms held under "Boullianne/Beale wedding" at The New London Red Roof Inn. There are 15 rooms with two double beds, 5 large rooms with a King size bed and 5 smaller rooms with a King size bed being held. Call 800-843-7663 and use Group Reservation Number B145000498. Rooms reverted to the general public on 23 April 99! Red Roof main desk number is 860-444-0001. This is (almost - about 0.5 mi) within walking distance of CGA.
